Discover London’s Canals by Kayak

When you arrive at The Pirate Castle, you’ll meet your instructor guide and be given a buoyancy aid to put on. We’ll then give a short safety talk and show you the basics on how to use your paddle and control your kayak.

You’ll get into your boat (we’ll help if you’re wobbly!) and once everyone in the group’s on the water we’ll practise some basic paddle strokes before heading off on a gentle tour that weaves along the prettiest stretch of the Regent’s Canal towards London Zoo, then back to Camden’s famous lock and The Pirate Castle.

London Theatres show dates 2022

Having been shuttered for the best part of a year, London Theatres are now looking to spring back to life with the phased reopening of the hospitality sector. Here is our guide to the latest opening dates to your favourite shows and some new ones too.

Back to the Future The Musical (Adelphi Theatre)

This new show based on the iconic 1985 movie of the same name makes its London Theatre debut in August.  The show follows Marty McFly played by Roger Bart, who after meeting an eccentric scientist Dr. Emmett Brown (Olly Dobson), finds himself transported back in time to 1955 with unintended consequences.  Back To The Future The Musical  features new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard.

Les Misérables (Sondheim Theatre)

Officially the longest running musical, Cameron Macintosh’s Les Misérables is an adaptation of Victor Hugo’s popular novel set in 19th Century France and follows Jean Valjean, a former prisoner who is relentlessly pursued by policeman Javert. This brilliant new staging has been hailed as “Les Mis for the 21st Century”.

Mamma Mia (Novello Theatre)

Mamma Mia the smash-hit musical is back in theatres this August. Follow the story of a mother and daughter who has to contend with three potential dads on an idyllic Greek Island played to the tunes of ABBA’s iconic soundtrack. This worldwide phenomenon comes back to to the theatre on August 25th.

The Lion King (Lyceum Theatre)

The Lyceum Theatre in London has been home to the Lion King musical since 1999 and has become a staple in the theatre calender. Pretty Woman had its West End premiere at Piccadilly Theatre, but now the musical has a new home at London’s Savoy Theatre. Based on the smash-hit 1990 movie of the same name, experience this classic love story and be swept off your feet in this dazzlingly theatrical take.

Take cover under the pastel huts, gaze at the palm trees and dip your feet on the white sands, perfect for your Instagram feed on sunny days. When the weather is not so friendly, the club boasts a 25m covered pergola and also a large tent covering the veranda which runs from September to May.
